When do we say enough is enough. Being open on a Sunday doesn't really generate all that much more business; it just gets pushed over from Saturday or done before Monday. Working in retail is time consuming and as this article states 60 % of the liquor stores are family owned. I vote for keeping Sunday as a day where everyone gets a chance to get a rest, take a time-out, spend time with their kids, cut the grass, read a book, etc. Other than being a theoretical political play to eek out a few more dollars in taxes this concept is meritless. Maybe as a part of any proposed legislation each politician should be required to be present at his office to receive visitors for those twelve hours on Sunday. View Comment
